But did you know kids can turn off these safety features?
So why should we be excited by these features? Parents still can’t parent for safety.
This week on New Mexico’s ABC affiliate KOAT News Morning Segment our director Lisa Honold talked about how easy it is for children to turn off the parental controls on social media apps.
Google (which also owns YouTube) recently started rolling out a series of updates to YouTube and its search feature aimed at increasing safety for kids and teens on its platforms. See the details here. But a real safety feature would be default safety features that cannot be turned off by children.
