Signs Your Child Might Be Experiencing Bullying

Director, Lisa Honold, spoke on KOAT’s morning news about some of the most common signs of bullying to look out for as the kids go back to school.

Parents should pay attention to their child’s behavior after coming home from school or using electronic devices. Are they sad, upset, frustrated? Does your child no longer enjoy the same activities that they used to? Are their grades dropping significantly?

Any or all of these can be signs that a child is experiencing bullying. In our blog post What Can Parents Do About Cyberbullying? How Do You Know Your Child is Bullying or Getting Bullied? We talk about the ways to recognize your child is being bullied and how to help and prevent.

If your child is experiencing bullying it is always important to report it. If your child is not the victim of the bullying, we should encourage them to stand up for those that are being bullied and assist the victim in reporting it.
